Former New York Giant and Hall of Famer Michael Strahan has called off his engagement because his fiance would not sign a prenup. Strahan’s second divorce wound up costing him millions of dollars. In my opinion, it would be absolutely foolish for him to enter into another marriage without a prenuptial agreement. Marriage, to a large degree, is essentially a business relationship. You would not enter into a business arrangement with someone, particularly with millions of dollars, without consulting with an attorney and hashing out a way to divide the assets if the business were to fail. In the same vain, I believe it is important for people to make this same approach to the financial side of marriage. This way, you are deciding your own fate if the marriage were to fall apart. As I have said before, this applies to everyone, and not just to the wealthy.
